On with your bottle
Over the side
Signal OK
Now a vertical glide
Unwind the ball float
Clear both your ears
Stop at the sea-bed
Check all your gear
Look all around you
Eyes open wide
Don't rush around now
Swim with the tide
What's that a buzzing?
What's the to-do?
Is the cox in the boat
Getting into a stew?
No tug on the ball float
Nothing's amiss
When we re-surface
We'll take the mickey
On with the diving
Check depth and air
Tug for your buddy
To make sure he's there
Vis is appalling
Water is cold
Three cheers for a vest
(Am I getting old?)
Crabs are a-crabbing
(Now don't get me wrong)
Flatties are hidden
There's none on my prong!
Vision is dimming
(Life's full of woes)
Tilt your head sideways
Blow through your nose
Dive is a washout
Salt gives a thirst
Signal ascension
Blow out or you'll burst
Blow up your Fenzy
And signal the lugger
Cox isn't looking
The silly old seafarer
Back in the pub
An hour or two yonder
We'll dazzle the locals
With deeds done down under
