Unchaste

I've heard the ocean whisper
I've listened to its ire
I've seen it bathed in moonlight
I've seen it touched with fire
I've looked at it from dizzy heights
I've scanned it from below
I've wondered at its mysteries
I've felt its might tow

I've wandered through its graveyards
I've finned its forests sway
I've glimpsed its teeming watery life
I've watched its work and play
I've seen how man pollutes the sea
I've seen the oil and waste
I know that he will rue the day
He made the sea unchaste
